Indian Sandstone Paving In The Wrexham Chester Area

Indian Sandstone

From pathways to patios, there are a variety of ways you can add Indian sandstone paving to your garden.

Create a useful outdoor dining area

Creating different areas within your garden using different materials is a handy way to create a useful, versatile space that can be used year-round. Paired against vibrant green grass, practical wooden decking, and a picturesque planting area, Indian sandstone paving can be used to create a clean-cut, compact dining area. Better still, use any cuts and wastage from the laying process to create edging for your planting areas, pulling the outdoor space together as one.

Compliment with a pathway

Natural stone is an excellent material for paths because of its durability and traction. RDJ & Co (Wrexham) Ltd often create pathways with natural stone cut into unique shapes to match the flow of their outdoor spaces.

Indian sandstone paving slabs are extremely versatile and come in a variety of different colours and shapes. The slabs have a naturally riven surface, creating an authentic feel. Indian sandstone is hard-wearing and durable, making it ideal for walkways and garden patios. Our collection of Indian sandstone pavers form part of our wider range of paving slabs. • Slate

You can select from a wide range of natural stone slabs and block paving materials for your patio, with a large range of patterns, styles and finishing.

STANDARD PROCESS

  • The area to be paved will be dug to a suitable depth, foundations laid and any new scalping’s fully compacted.
  • The whole area will be levelled to provide the correct drainage with surface water channels installed or soak aways if required.
  • Edge restraints are set firmly in concrete and any voids are filled with sharp sand.
  • Blocks will be laid hand tight to customer’s design specifications before the area is compacted with the plate vibrator.
  • Jointing sand will be utilised and forced into any unfilled joints to create a superior finish.

By using sandstone, with a variety of grey, brown and orange tones, you can create a cosy area that’s complemented with minimal furnishings and vibrant planting.

The perfect accompaniment to gravel

The natural sandy tones of sandstone and gravel go hand-in-hand, meaning that sandstone is the ideal choice for stepping stones surrounded by gravel in both your front and back garden.

Create multi-level outdoor spaces

Possibly one of the most popular uses of Indian sandstone paving, using this versatile stone, you can create a multi-level outdoor space – even more so than other types of natural stone paving as the colours within the sandstone effortlessly sit in harmony alongside brick work, gravel, grass, and bark and even help to set off vibrant planting areas.
